Golfing
Events
Stonehenge Golf Course has several golfing events through out the
year. A few of these events are featured below:
Opening
Texas Scramble
4 player teams drawn by the computer. Each player tees off and then
you pick the best drive. Each player plays from the preferred spot,
then they play their own ball into the hole. Players will receive
full handicap. Two best balls of the foursome is the format.
Beat
The Pro — Memorial Day Weekend
This is your chance to take advantage of the Golf Pro. You may play
one day, two days or all three of them. The Pro will play one of the
days. You place a bet from $5.00 to $100.00 and if you beat
the Pro you double your money in merchandise. Full handicap.
Parent
Child
This event is Father-Son, Father-Daughter, Mother-Son or
Mother-Daughter in two age groups. The format is alternate shot. You
may play with more than one child.
Flag
Day
Individual event in which you receive your
handicap plus par (71). When you run out of strokes plant your
flag. This is a flighted event.
Annual
Member Guest
6 Teams per Flight. You will play 5 nine-hole matches (one match
against each team in your flight). The team that accumulates the
most points for the matches played will win that flight. This is a
fabulous and extremely popular format.
Ladies
Guest Day — TBA
One member and one guest will play a one best ball.
Club
Championship
36 hole stroke play event in flights.
Low
Gross-Low Net
Gross and net division in each flight.
Closing 6-6-6
Choose your own partner. 1st six holes are best ball, 2nd six
holes are Florida Scramble, 3rd six holes are a true alternate shot.
Play in flights according to handicap.
Hit
& Giggle — ALL SEASON LONG!
The Friday night mixer of past days will begin in May. Every Friday
evening we will have a couples event Once a month you may invite a
guest couple (guest fees waived). These will be fun events with
dinner following golf.
Ladies
Golf Day ALL SEASON LONG!
We are going to
have ladies league on Thursday
mornings.
